James Nellis Q & A: “How much video/editing work do you do yourself?”

Hi!  James has answered your unanswered webinar questions below, enjoy!

James NellisQ: How much of this work do you do yourself, and how much do you give to members of your team?  Rob R.

A: I do 85% of it at this point.  I believe that if it is directly talking with the client you the realtor should be with them.   The editing is the labor intensive job and can easily be outsourced.

Q: I work for a new home builder, what would you recommend when doing a video of a home that is completely empty?  Tanner B.

A: I would interview 3 different people …

  1. The builder for the overall concept of the home.
  2. The superintendent for talks about the specifics of the construction.
  3. Either the architect or an interior designer talking about the possibilites.

In an ideal world you could capture one at pre-drywall and see it through the end with still photos and video.

Q:  What is Social Fusion?

A:  Social Fusion is the layering of multiple forms of media to express one singular view point or branding image delivered to the accesssibility of today’s consumer.  It is a full education on how to leverage current day technology for your business.  Our webinar was only a small glipse of the video portion of Social Fusion.

Q:  How many visitors come to your website each month?  Rochelle K.

A:  On average of 800 Unique Visitors (“unique visitors” come from different IP addresses) per month with my  N1E website.  We send our consumers to multiple places:  Our main site, YouTube Channel, Facebook Business Pages, Community Pages.  We leverage different websites and branding based on the consumer’s profile.

Q: How often do you use green screen?  Renee R.

A: Rarely do we use it, I opt for good lighting and minimal editing.  I normally shoot with the background I want in the video.  Be careful and practice a couple times before trying to use it.

Q: Do you track the demographics for each area of people who respond to your site?  Donna J.

A: We do track how our clients find our website.  We track what works.  This is why video has and will continue to play a big role in our marketing budget and resources.
